Event Description:
An unforgettable night of orchestral power and choral brilliance featuring two monumental works from the classical repertoire.
This concert also marks Hilary Davan Wetton’s final performance as Music Director of Alina Orchestra, concluding a distinguished and long-standing musical partnership since the Orchestra’s creation in 2017.
This special performance brings together orchestra, soloists, and large choral forces in a celebration of unity and musical transcendence. From the dramatic depth of Potter’s symphony to the world-famous “Ode to Joy,” the evening promises emotional scale, power, and uplift.
In his final concert appearance as Music Director of the Alina Orchestra, Hilary Davan Wetton brings together orchestra, soloists, and choir for an inspiring farewell performance of Beethoven’s choral masterpiece. We are joined by the Danesborough Chorus and MK Chorale - two leading regional choirs joining forces to deliver the monumental final movement of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
For many, this may be their first experience of Beethoven’s Ninth — and you never forget your first Beethoven 9.
