Event Description:

Have you ever picked a wine based on a name you recognised and hoped for the best?

That was us. We loved drinking wine – let’s face it, lots of us do – but we didn’t know much about it. Without a PhD in grapes, we did what everyone does: choose by price, label, or a grape we’d been told was amazing.

We wanted to know more, but without knowing our Barossa from our Burgundy, it wasn’t easy. So we asked ourselves: what if we got some basic knowledge and built on it step by step?

Armed with a little experience and a lot of enthusiasm, we went and got WSET qualified. That knowledge gave us the confidence to seek out wines you won’t find on the high street – bottles from small producers, chosen for quality, character, and value for money.

Now we bring those wines to Amersham Wine Club. At our monthly blind tastings, the bottles are hidden in wine socks so you can taste them without labels or price tags getting in the way.

You taste. You decide what you enjoy. Then we reveal the bottle – along with the story behind it and what it pairs well with.

We want to help you discover the wines you genuinely enjoy and have a bit of fun learning about them along the way.

£24.99 per person for six wines + small plates.
