The LP Swing Orchestra is delighted to be performing its “Another…..100 Years of Big Bands” programme at Wycombe Swan for this charity concert.
“Another…100 Years of Big Bands” follows up on the LP Swing Orchestra’s critically acclaimed tour “100 Years of Big Bands”, the hit Sky Arts televised concert. The story begins in Louis Armstrong’s New Orleans and the Paul Whiteman Orchestra, through the golden age of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman, right up to current artists Harry Connick Jr and Michael Bublé, paying tribute to legends Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald along the way.
For this concert date, the 17-piece LPSO will be joined by two of the finest swing singers in the UK, Matt Ford (Friday Night is Music Night, John Wilson Orchestra, BBC Proms) and Nicola Emmanuelle (The Rat Pack: Live From Las Vegas).
