March 1845. The father of Sarah Hart’s children stands accused of murder. The last day of John Tawell’s trial approaches, and the press, public interest, and history are already swirling around them.
Now, it is time for Hart to return to Tawell’s side in his cell, in preparation for the final reckoning. Only she can tell the story of their lives, their love, and their loss…
Inspired by a real-life trial held at Aylesbury Crown Court, this new two-act play from the writer of the acclaimed ‘Regency Theatre Trilogy’ is performed as part of the 2025 Buckinghamshire History Festival.
Written & Directed by Dario Knight
Produced by Unbound
