Event Description:
Commemorating the 80 years since the end of World War 2. Explore how Buckinghamshire has marked the end of wars from 17th – 20th century.
To mark the 80th anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day on 8 May and 15 August 2025 respectively, an exhibition by the Bucks Military Museum Trust will commemorate not just the end of conflicts but, using images and artefacts, it will also demonstrate the costs paid by those from the county who served in the armed forces from the British Civil Wars to the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, the two world wars of the twentieth century, and in contemporary conflict.
