Event Description:

Aylesbury Lunchtime Music continues to grow in popularity with performers who appreciate the beautiful Grade I listed venue, receptive audience, great acoustic, strong marketing and Kawai grand piano.

The series of forty-four concerts during the year is popular with performers and dates are filled very quickly. The schedule for the following year is planned after Easter the previous year. We try to have a varied programme of soloists and ensembles. Please make sure that you get in touch from March onwards with your availability if you would like to perform.

We were established to provide an opportunity for up-and-coming new artists to perform to a ‘live’ audience. We have established links with the Royal Academy of Music, to whom 6 concerts per year are allocated. We also welcome performers from other London music schools. Some of our young musicians have gone on to win prestigious competitions including the Leeds International Piano Competition (Alim Beisembayev in 2021). The standard of playing from our young performers is consistently outstanding. We also have a large retinue of performers, local and international, who love to return to perform in front of our appreciative and knowledgeable crowd.

The concerts are run by a small team of volunteers. Please get in touch if you would like to help. We rely on our audience to fund the concerts through the admission price and donations. Encourage your friends to come along to listen and enjoy some wonderful live music.
