Event Description:

The Game Show

Dancers from both Pat Steel and Bucks Schools of Dance will be joining together to present another spectacular show this summer! The Game Show will be a combination of family favourites such as board games like Monopoly and Crocodile Dentist, to TV show Traitors and video game, Assassin’s Creed. Each dance represents a different game or toy and will involve ballet, tap, modern and acro. The children involved range from 4 years old (Teddy Bears) to our senior students (Olympic Games) and each will experience the thrill of performing on the Wycombe Swan stage in front of family and friends. Teachers from both schools have been choreographing each dance since January, planning costumes, backgrounds, music editing and more to give these children an unforgettable experience. The excitement is mounting!

Some will be dancing in a theatre for the very first time, whilst others will be finishing their dance journey before heading off to college. As well as learning their dances, these young people learn what commitment really means: working hard, staying consistent, and pushing through even when things get tough. These are the life skills that shape future success—in the classroom, in their careers, and in every aspect of their lives.   So, while we celebrate every performance, remember that dance is giving a child so much more. It’s preparing them for the world with confidence, grace, and a work ethic that will last a lifetime.

Come along and have fun watching your favourite games played out onstage. We’d love to see you!
