Transport & Address:
We will be working in Chalfont St. Peter. We will meet on site at the junction of Boundary Road and Lovel End in Chalfont St Peter. Parking is available, please car share where possible and park considerately. The nearest postcode is: SL9 9PG. Look out for our truck!
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:
Today we will be planting a new native hedgerow with trees mostly supplied from our Community Tree Nursery. Species will include Hawthorn,Hazel, Wych Elm, Blackthorn, Field Maple, Spindle, Buckthorn, and Wayfaring Tree. Come and be part of this new project and if you can’t stay for the whole day just pop in and see us for an hour or two.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don’t be late!
10.15: Work begins
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own
15.30: Work finishes, time to go home!
What to bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. You may need a hat if it’s sunny.
Please bring plenty of fluids and a packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Please note:
Biscuits are served at all Chiltern Rangers sessions. Please advise if you have an allergy.
Sometimes there is a need for us to use power tools that can be noisy.
