Come to the Water - Dew Dance premieres powerful contemporary dance theatre exploring the human search for rest in a world that never stops.

What happens when rest feels impossible?

Come to the Water is a powerful new dance theatre work by Dew Dance that speaks into the emotional landscape of modern life. Set in a world of relentless demands, the performance invites the audience to reflect on rest, connection, and the deep human longing for renewal. Through striking solos and intimate duets, the piece explores how exhaustion and isolation shape us—and what it might mean to stop striving and receive something freely given.

With original movement drawn from contemporary dance, release technique, and non-traditional partnering, Come to the Water is both deeply personal and quietly universal.

Addressing mental well-being and burnout—often overlooked in today’s fast-paced society—the work reminds us of the power of rest and the importance of authentic human connection.

This Dew Dance premiere is supported by Wycombe Swan Theatre Creative Learning and will include additional performances from other exciting Buckinghamshire-based dance companies.
