Event Description:
Experience the magic of the Chiltern woodland at sunrise on this guided dawn chorus and bluebell walk near Lee Common. As the forest wakes, we’ll listen to the rich chorus of birds such as robins, blackbirds, song thrushes, wrens, nuthatches, treecreepers and woodpeckers, with the possibility of hearing tawny owls returning to roost after the night.
The woodland floor will be carpeted in beautiful spring bluebells, and early morning is often the best time to spot mammals such as roe deer, muntjac or even badgers moving quietly through the woodland. Along the way you’ll learn how to identify birds by their songs and discover more about the wildlife and ecology of the Chiltern Hills.
