An evening in conversation with Lindsay Engers, local horticulturalist and founder of Chiltern Heritage Orchards.
From Bishop’s Thumb to Green Pear of Yair, Chiltern Heritage Orchards grows over 200 different fruit cultivars using organic and regenerative growing techniques. Ecology and biological crop nutrition play an important role in producing pest and disease free crops with an amazing flavour. Learn the secret to growing fruit including the best methods of cultivation, pruning and harvesting used at Chiltern Heritage Orchards. Plus, hear the hundreds of rare local and international fruit cultivars that are grown there.
Digging Deeper is a series of conversations, where we invite speakers to share their stories, knowledge, and passion for the world around us. These evenings seek to spark discussion, encourage thoughtfulness, and inspire action towards a better future.
Snacks and small plates will be available to purchase from 6pm to 7pm. Our bar will be open until 7.30pm.
About Lindsay Engers
Lindsay began Chiltern Heritage Orchards in 2016 and grows a very wide range of Certified Organic fruit and vegetables for sale to businesses. He has a Degree in Horticulture from Reading and works in Adult Learning teaching horticulture for Buckinghamshire County Council.
