In this magical, family-friendly session, you’ll create your own glowing lantern using a glass jam jar and a mix of decorative materials.
Choose your theme — will it be a dragon, fairy, mermaid, phoenix, wolf, or another mystical creature of your imagination?
Using a variety of materials, you’ll explore how to:
✨ Design your creature silhouette using card
✨ Layer tissue papers to create colour and glow
✨ Add sparkle with glitter and decorative details
✨ Embellish your jar with imitation flowers, ribbons, strings, and charms
✨ Bring your lantern to life with fairy lights or a battery-powered tea light
As the light shines through, your creature will appear glowing from within — creating a truly enchanting effect.
