Event Description:

As part of his exhibition ‘Through The Needle’ Internationally Renowned Visually Artist Derek Ogbourne hosts an introduction to paint making workshop.

From pigment to paint, where traditional methods of production are demonstrated and then opened up to the group to reproduce and experiment with making paint. Historical examples will also be given to show how these mediums have been used in context. 

Materials will be provided and the following paint mediums will be created and experimented with:

• Watercolour 

• Goache

• Oil paint 

• Egg Tempera

The format of the class will be alternating demonstrations and practicals.
