Event Description:

Join the No Perfect Parent Team for a relaxed, friendly, and non-judgmental introduction to our supportive community. Whether you are just beginning to explore your options or are already on your parenting journey, this hour is designed to help you feel informed, confident, and connected.

We will break down what “Antenatal” (before birth) and “Postnatal” (after birth) support actually means in the real world. There is no pressure or complicated expectations here: just evidence-based information, honest conversations, and a space where you can ask questions or simply sit back and listen.

Who This Session Is For

Our doors and services are open to all family setups, pathways, and stages:

• Exploring Fertility: Anyone navigating fertility treatments, surrogacy, or planning a family.

• Expecting Parents & Partners: Pregnant people, partners, single parents, and co-parents preparing for birth.

• Newborn & Baby Caregivers: Parents and caregivers with newborns or infants looking for ongoing community and support.

• All Family Structures: First-time parents, experienced parents, adoptive families, LGBTQ+ families, blended families, and neurodivergent parents.

Meet Your Facilitators

You will get to meet our core team who bridge the gap between healthcare and early parenting support:

• Emma & Louisa (NMC Registered Midwives): Bringing over two decades of practical maternity care experience to help demystify pregnancy, birth options, and early feeding choices.

• Jodie Brown (Postnatal & Developmental Facilitator): Offering specialized guidance on infant neurodevelopment, biological sleep, responsive care, and local resources like our Sling and Cloth Nappy Libraries.

Session Structure (60 Minutes)

• 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM | Real Talk & Unpacking the Basics An approachable walk-through of the antenatal and postnatal care journey, busting common myths, and explaining how NPPC supports you without the typical 10-day health visitor drop-off

• 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM | The Nurture Table & Open Q&A Enjoy informal chat with the team, ask personal questions, and connect with other local families in a relaxed, friendly setting. Please feel free to bring your dinner with you, if you would like to, we have microwaves on site.

Venue & Accessibility

Patch (The Old Library) is fully accessible with step-free entry, wide doorways, and baby-friendly amenities. We keep our environments sensory-inclusive and welcoming for neurodivergent individuals and diverse learning needs.
