Event Description:

Book your ticket, for the “public gallery” at the Old Bailey, for the trials of Derek Bentley and Ruth Ellis.

Had you been a member of the jury would you have spared them from the Hangman’s noose?

Jeff Rozelaar invites you to this documentary drama, set in the early 1950s, for these two controversial murder cases, that divided the Nation.

The performance now has a 2026 resonance. In July this year, Justice Secretary David Lammy informed MP’s that the King had granted a conditional pardon in the exceptional case after a campaign by Ruth Ellis’s grandchildren.

Please note - no under 3s; under 16s must be accompanied and sat with an adult (18+)
