    Event Description:

Join Toni from Easely Does It for a soulful, step-by-step acrylic painting workshop  inspired by the quiet power of a Highland cow beneath a brooding sunset sky.

    📅 Saturday 17th January

🕥 10:30 AM – 12:45 PM (please arrive at Visitor Reception by 10:00 AM)

📍National Trust Hughenden Estate, High Wycombe, HP14 4LA

🎨 Morning Painting Workshop – Painting a Moody Highland Cow

Working with deep, earthy tones, dramatic skies, and expressive brushwork, you’ll create a 40 x 30cm canvas featuring a Moody Coo — all windswept fringe, rich texture, and atmosphere. Think stormy colour palettes, glowing horizons, and that unmistakable Highland stare.

No painting experience needed. Starting with a basic templated canvas (so even the most in experienced artist can feel confident) Toni will gently guide you through every stage — from building depth and shadow to capturing texture, mood, and light — so you can relax into the process and let the painting unfold.

All materials are included. Just bring yourself and a love of all things dark, moody, and a little bit wild. 🌒🎨

🏰 About Hughenden & The National Trust

This atmospheric workshop takes place at the National Trust’s Hughenden Estate — a setting perfectly suited to a darker, mood-led painting morning.

Once the home of Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli and later a secret WWII map-making base, Hughenden is rich with history, drama, and character. Surrounded by rolling Chiltern landscapes and ancient woodland, it offers a quiet, grounding backdrop for creative escape.

    ☕ After the Workshop

After the session, you’re welcome to unwind at the National Trust Café (not included in your ticket), or explore the house and gardens.

Entry is free for National Trust members; non-members can pay admission separately.

    🚗 Arrival Details

Please arrive by 10:00 AM and park in the visitors’ car park.

Head to Visitor Reception, where a member of the team will guide you to the workshop space.

Winter mornings at Hughenden are especially atmospheric — allow a little extra time to soak it in.
