Event Description:

A staple in Chesham’s summer events calendar, Music in the Park is a series of free concerts taking place across eight Sunday afternoons in July and August between 2 and 4pm on the performance area in Lowndes Park.

Bring a chair or a picnic blanket and come and soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the music. With a varied programme featuring a host of local musicians, there is something to appeal to everyone.

Please note: in the event of inclement weather it may be necessary to cancel concerts at the last minute.

July 6th: Praise in the Park – Chesham’s leading faith band, Streetlights, will be performing popular praise and worship music

July 13th: Thame Concert Band – a community brass, woodwind and percussion band counting 40 regular members and with a varied repertoire

July 20th: Manos Puestas – a trio composed of two guitarists and a double-bass player who is also a vocalist, playing a variety of swing, Latin jazz and rumba numbers

July 27th: Love & Squalor – a Chesham-based group made up of 6 members performing covers of classic hits with a folk/alternative twist

August 3rd: Burnham Concert Band – a community wind band formed in 1975 with a broad repertoire ranging from classical music to film tunes

August 10th: Subtle Sonics – an indie-rock 3-piece band from Chesham featuring vocals, acoustic guitar, bass and drums and playing covers as well as original material

August 17th: Watford Band – a brass band formed in 1894 and still going strong over 130 years later, performing classic brass band pieces as well as pop arrangements

August 24th: The Deviators – a local four-piece covers band playing music from a wide variety of genres including soul, rock and pop
