Event Description:
A fascinating walk taking you into nature to discover some curious plant-lore facts about trees and wildflowers.
Guided Walk: 7km | approx. 3 hrs | Meet at 9.45 am at Hambleden village car park, RG9 6RP (parking charges apply)
We will walk at a medium pace but with plenty of ‘flower stops’ along the way. Paths and tracks are generally well defined but will be uneven and rough and may be muddy. There is a long ascent and descent, steep in part (115 m total ascent). Two stiles.
A few drops of Nature’s Lore can help to lift our spirits and feel more connected with the natural world. The trees and wildflowers that we discover on this walk invite us into a world that values and celebrates our relationship with plants. It is an intimate relationship which has shaped, and continues to shape, our culture, customs, legends and folklore. As we walk there will be plenty of plant-lore facts along the way and, of course, there are faeries! We also welcome you to share your own ‘stories in the plants’.
With support from the Bucks Open Weekend, we are pleased to offer this walk free of charge - use code ‘BucksOpen’ when booking.
