Event Description:
With Lizzy Freemantle
This advanced still life oil painting workshop is designed for artists looking to refine their technical skills and deepen their understanding of composition, light, and form. Working from a carefully arranged still life setup, you will focus on colour harmony, tonal control, edges, and creating convincing texture and depth. Emphasis will be placed on observation, subtle colour mixing, and developing a strong sense of atmosphere. Individual guidance and group discussion will help you push your work further and resolve paintings with confidence. Ideal for experienced painters seeking to strengthen their practice.
What to bring:
All materials are provided and are included in the workshop fee but you are welcome to bring your own oil painting materials if you wish.
There will be a break for lunch in the middle of the session. Snacks and drinks are available from the QPAC Coffee Bar but you may want to bring your own packed lunch.
