Event Description:
Rueda is a high-energy group style of salsa dancing that originated in Havana, Cuba, in the 1950s. Couples form a circle (rueda translates to “wheel”) and execute synchronized turn patterns and partner switches in unison, guided by a single designated caller.
No Partner Needed: The very nature of the wheel means you’ll dance with everyone!
Zero Pressure: Because you’re constantly moving and working as a team, the focus is entirely on laughs and community, not being a perfect dancer.
Brain & Body Workout: Listening to the caller while moving to the beat is a fantastic mental and physical boost.
