Event Description:

Our fabulous Christmas Farmers Market will once again be taking place in the Market Square on Tuesday 23rd December, so it’s perfect for grabbing those last-minute gifts, as well as picking those Christmas Dinner essentials from our friendly, local suppliers. Not only that, but there’s free mulled wine (with or without alcohol) and mince pies, family activities and entertainment!

Our food traders will be on hand to furnish your Christmas table with everything from poultry to pies, crayfish to cucumbers, samosas to swedes and everything in between!

Last-minute Christmas gift-buyers will be delighted with a host of beautiful, locally-sourced goods, including handmade wooden kitchenware, dried flower arrangements, jewellery, local beers and flavoured rum. All our regular traders will also be there, allowing you to stock up on all your household essentials, including healthy snacks and treats, organic dried foods and eco-friendly cleaning product refills.

We will be offering free mulled wine and mince pies, while stocks last, as well as music from a traditional barrel organ to provide a wonderful, traditional ambiance. Inside the Library you will find story sessions with local storyteller Red Phoenix, and free face painting as well. We might even be lucky enough to get a visit from Father Christmas himself!
