RED & BLUE ANTHOLOGY
The iconic Beatles’ Red and Blue double albums were first released by EMI in 1973, reaching positions 3 and 4 respectively on the UK Albums Chart. Their popularity as authorised compilations endured to the extent that both were later released on CD to similar success and then as expanded collections in 2023 with many tracks newly remixed and remastered. They’ve become culurally embedded and respected albums in their own right, charting and encapsulating as they do, the Beatles’ staggering and rapid evolution over less than a decade.
In this concert The Dung Beatles rock band will draw upon their extensive repertoire to bring you over two hours of Beatles classics that featured on these landmark albums with Red Album songs in their first set, then songs from the Blue in their second. They’ll bring their trademark high energy, precise harmonies and top-drawer musicianship to this totally live music performance – no backing tracks, costumes or gimmicks.
