Event Description:

We are delighted to launch our new season with a programme devoted entirely to the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This opening concert brings together some of his most vibrant, dramatic, and emotionally rich works, offering a compelling journey through the brilliance of one of classical music’s most beloved composers.

The evening begins with Symphony No. 48 (A rare opportunity to hear one of Mozart’s uncatalogued symphonies), setting the tone with its energy and elegance, before moving to the ever-popular Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, ‘Turkish’. Full of charm, contrast, and virtuosic flair, this concerto features the Orchestra’s leader, Dominic Moorer, as our soloist, whose expressive playing brings Mozart’s writing vividly to life.

The programme continues with the powerful and atmospheric Adagio and Fugue, revealing a darker, more intense side of Mozart’s musical voice. The concert concludes with Symphony No. 38, ‘Prague’, a work of remarkable depth and brilliance, celebrated for its dramatic scope and masterful orchestration.

We are pleased to welcome Chloe Lu Ye, who is our final Musical Director Candidate.

This opening concert promises an inspiring and memorable start to the season, showcasing the timeless beauty, wit, and emotional range of Mozart’s music in the intimate setting of The Stables MK.

We look forward to welcoming you.
