This course takes place over two consecutive Saturdays.
Shibori is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting, and binding fabric to create unique patterns.
On this course, you will be guided through the techniques and processes in order to come away with 3 shibori samples including 1 shibori scarf using the tying, folding and stitching methods. You will be working with 100% Recycled Polyester and 100% Silk. The pieces will be dyed in a cold water bath using indigo dyes, and taken home by the tutor after the first session to be steam shrunk to give a 3 dimensional texture to your scarf before the second session.
This class is suitable for beginners.
All materials and dyes are included in the workshop price. Snacks and refreshments will be available to purchase at the QPAC Coffee Bar.
Age: 16+
