End 2025 with a banger: 14km Christmas hike in Chess Valley Festive pub quiz & drinks after! Easy from London. Waypoint Escape: 🎄🎅🏽❄️ Festive 14km Chess Valley Hike + Pub Stop & Xmas Quiz (Ages 20s-40s)

Waypoint is London’s close-knit, adventure-loving crew for like-minded legends (20’s - 40’s). Big hikes, belly laughs, post-walk pints - and pushing yourself a little further each time.

Wrap up 2025 with a 14km circular hike through the beautiful Chess Valley in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Starting from Amersham, this scenic route takes you along countryside lanes, through woodland pockets, and across open farmland, with lovely views over the River Chess. This wintry Christmas hike is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, stretch your legs, and get into the festive spirit.

🚆 Easy from London – Amersham is on the Metropolitan Line, making it a hassle-free escape from the city. After the hike, we’ll end at the Boot & Slipper, a cozy country pub with heated outdoor space, mulled wine, and well-deserved drinks, along with a festive pub quiz hosted by your guides, Beth & Jon.

🥾 Your Guides

Beth – Founder of Waypoint Crew and qualified Lowland Leader. Beth loves countryside adventures that finish with a cold pint and built Waypoint Crew as a space for people who love adventure and a laugh.

Jon – A total legend and regular at Waypoint events. Recently qualified as a Lowland Leader with Mountain Training, Jon helps lead hikes and makes sure everyone has an amazing day outdoors.

🕙 Schedule

• 9:30am – Meet at Amersham Station Trains run regularly from London on the Metropolitan Line. Enjoy festive mince pies courtesy of Waypoint Crew and meet your fellow hikers.
• 10:00am – Hike begins! Running late? Just drop a message in the WhatsApp group.
• 12:00pm (approx) – Picnic lunch stop Take a short break and enjoy your packed lunch (please bring your own).
• 2:00pm – Finish at The Boot & Slipper, Amersham 🎄🎅🏽❄️🍷 Celebrate the end of the hike with well-deserved festive drinks and join your guides, Beth & Jon, for a festive pub quiz.
