Event Description:

The Scarecrow Festival a great opportunity for the community to get crafting to produce such creations as Postman Pat, robots, burglars climbing drain pipes etc. and to display them at the front of their houses for all to see.

The event is open to all residents (no need to live in Wolverton), to create a scarecrow to display over the weekend outside their house or at The Square/Community Orchard (advance notice required).

Each year a band of volunteers open up the Wolverton Community Orchard and offer refreshments to anyone who would like to partake between 12pm and 4pm on the Saturday. Please bring cash as they have no facility to take card payments. The Community Orchard is also home to some of the scarecrows. This event is well worth a visit as it shows the talents and diversity of the community and is a lovely day out for families, just take a pleasant stroll around town and see how many you can spot.

If you are making a scarecrow and would like it to appear on our map please email the Town Council Office [email protected] . This map will be found on online on our website, on the event page and to collect from the Town Hall ahead of the weekend event. There will also be copies available to collect from the Wolverton Street Market on The Square on the Sunday.
