Event Description:

With Colin Stokes

Discover the freedom of loose watercolour. Colin will instruct participants on ‘wet in wet’ techniques, mark making, composition, tonal values and wet-into-dry painting. Participants will create one or two landscape paintings in a loose and abstract style over the course of the workshop. Perfect for beginners, or anyone wanting to loosen up and reconnect with their creative spark.

What to bring:

140lb watercolour paper (not cold pressed) 2-3 pieces needed.

A standard set of watercolour paints (tray or tube)

Standard paint brushes (a small variety of shapes and sizes is recommended)

Many of these materials (paints included) can be purchased from the Centre’s Art Shop (see reception for details). Similar tools can be borrowed from the Centre on the day, however specificity and condition cannot be guaranteed.
