Event Description:
With Christine Green
Christine has developed a style of patching inspired by Japanese Boro, patching on to a piece of backing fabric or a garment and using hand stitching to build up layers of fabric. You will stitch either a panel that can be turned into a variety of items (phone case, bag, cushion, throw etc) at home or patch/embellish a garment of non-stretchy fabric of your own, e.g. jeans, jacket skirt.
Sewing tools and material will be provided, however if you have your own kit you may want to bring it along, along with your own threads and fabrics. If you have a garment of non-stretch fabric (i.e. jeans, a jacket, shirt etc) you may want to bring it along too to patch onto it during the workshop. There is a coffee bar for snacks and drinks onsite, but you may want to bring a packed lunch too.
