A Bold, Genre-Defying Music Line-Up at Chesham Fringe

If you think you know what music at a fringe festival sounds like, think again. One of the six genres at this year’s Chesham Fringe Festival (22–24 May 2026), our music lineup is throwing out the rulebook and inviting audiences on a brilliantly eclectic musical journey—one that jumps effortlessly from opera to punk, reggae to glam rock, and just about everything in between.
Leading the charge are our iconic headliners, Stereo MCs, bringing their unmistakable indie-dance grooves to Chesham Fringe, alongside the ever-popular Ed Sheeran Experience, guaranteed to deliver crowd-pleasing singalong moments. For something a little more soulful, The JJ Cale Story offers a rich dive into the life and music of the blues legend—perfect for those who like their tunes with a touch of storytelling.
But what really sets the music at Chesham Fringe apart is its fearless embrace of the unexpected. Where else could you stumble from an Opera Gala with Deborah Holborn & Friends into the high- energy chaos of punk acts Dirt Box Disco and Knock Off or Ultimate Green Day? Or find yourself captivated by the theatrical rock spectacle of Van Gosh and Domina Proxime—complete with outrageous props—before heading off to enjoy the bold, genre-bending sounds of local trans Bowie/glam trash?
There’s also a strong showing from rising talent, with hard rock newcomers Matted, We Three Kings and Clear Air Turbulence bringing fresh energy to the stage. Meanwhile, fans of roots and acoustic sounds can soak up performances from Daisy Chute (Americana) and Vince Freeman, a former The Voice finalist whose country stylings are sure to win hearts. And that’s just the beginning. Expect global rhythms from Eddie Mol le Pipo, rich, vocal harmonies from award-winning Amersham A Cappella, genre-mashing brilliance from Kimosabe (reggae/ska/punk), cutting-edge electronic beats from Mike Neaves, and the progressive edge of Leoni Jane Kennedy.
In short, this isn’t just a music line-up—it’s a musical adventure! Whether you’re a die-hard gig-goer or simply curious to try something new, Chesham Fringe 2026 promises a weekend of discovery, surprise and unforgettable live performances. The only question is: what will you discover first?
