2026-11-04T14:32:43Z
Christmas is creeping up, and the all-important question is where the children can meet Father Christmas this year. Happily, Buckinghamshire has a rather good selection of festive outings lined up for 2026.
There are traditional grottos, miniature pigs, steam trains, farmyard adventures and even a chance to meet Santa in a set of caves. Some are wonderfully low-key community events; others are full-blown Christmas experiences with enough festive activity to keep the children occupied for hours.
Here’s our guide to the Christmas events and Santa experiences worth knowing about across Buckinghamshire.

Time To Make Some Christmas Memories
There’s a lovely variety of festive experiences on offer this year, whether you’re after a traditional Santa visit, a proper family day out or something a little more unusual. The miniature pigs at Kew Little Pigs, the steam train at Chinnor and the underground grotto at the Hellfire Caves are all rather tempting options.
For a smaller spend, the community fairs and town-centre celebrations are well worth a look too. And if you’re planning a bigger festive outing, places such as Odds Farm Park and Hogshaw Farm offer plenty to fill a day.
The most popular sessions tend to be the ones closest to Christmas, so it’s worth looking at dates and tickets early if you have your heart set on a particular experience.
Now, all that remains is to persuade the children to go to bed early on Christmas Eve. We wish you luck with that one!
