Kaiser Chiefs, Olly Murs And A Very Good Reason To Head To Marlow Next May

2026-10-29T16:21:23Z

If your idea of a perfect weekend involves a cracking soundtrack, something delicious in one hand and a drink in the other, we have some rather good news. Pub in the Park is coming back to Marlow in May 2027, and the line-up is looking gloriously nostalgic.

Think indie anthems, noughties singalongs, Britpop classics and enough food temptation to make your usual Saturday night plans look a little underwhelming.

The festival returns to Higginson Park from 14–16 May 2027, with Kaiser Chiefs, Olly Murs, Scouting for Girls and Alex James’ Britpop Classical among the headline acts. There’s also a brand-new family brunch featuring two names guaranteed to awaken a very particular corner of your childhood television memories.

Yes, Dick & Dom are involved. Prepare accordingly.

The Lowdown: Who’s Playing And When?

Pub in the Park has revealed its first wave of musical acts, and there’s a pleasing amount of material here for anyone whose playlists still feature the occasional song they first heard in a school disco.

Here’s the line-up so far:

  • Friday 14 May: Kaiser Chiefs
  • Saturday 15 May: Scouting for Girls, Toploader and Olly Murs, with a DJ set from Levi Roots
  • Sunday 16 May: Alex James’ Britpop Classical

Friday belongs to Kaiser Chiefs, which means the prospect of thousands of people enthusiastically shouting along to indie classics in a Buckinghamshire park. A civilised evening, then.

Saturday looks particularly strong for the nostalgic crowd. Scouting for Girls and Toploader bring the noughties singalongs, before Olly Murs takes to the main stage. Somewhere in Marlow, somebody is already planning an outfit around their favourite festival wellies.

New For 2027: A Family Brunch With Dick & Dom

Here’s where things get interesting for parents.

For the first time, Pub in the Park is introducing a dedicated Family Sunday Brunch, running from 10am until 2pm on Sunday 16 May.

Expect roaming characters, face painting and family entertainment, with Dick & Dom and Hacker T Dog among the headline names. Yes, the same Dick & Dom responsible for an entire generation’s questionable enthusiasm for Bogies.

Hacker T Dog, the mischievous puppet and CBBC favourite, will also be making an appearance.

It’s a clever addition to the programme: a chance to enjoy the festival atmosphere with younger family members, without having to convince them that a live orchestra playing Britpop is the most exciting thing that’s ever happened.

More family entertainment is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

One thing worth noting: the family brunch is a separate Sunday afternoon session, so check the ticket options carefully before booking.

And What About The Food?

2.webp

It’s called Pub in the Park, after all. Turning up purely for the music would be a bit like visiting a bakery and leaving with a bottle of water.

The festival promises pop-up restaurants from local pubs and renowned restaurants, alongside live cooking demonstrations, chef Q&As and food and drink stalls.

The full chef and restaurant line-up hasn’t been announced yet, so we’ll have to wait a little longer before plotting our way around the menus. But the combination of live music and excellent food is precisely what makes this sort of event appealing.

Our advice? Arrive hungry. Preferably wearing something with a little room for pudding.

Tickets: What You Need To Know

First-release tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 30 October 2026, with prices starting from £30.

Here’s the useful bit:

  • Dates: Friday 14 to Sunday 16 May 2027
  • Location: Higginson Park, Marlow
  • Adult tickets: Ages 18+
  • Youth tickets: Ages 13–17
  • Child tickets: Ages 12 and under go free

VIP and Platinum VIP upgrades will also be available, with perks including dedicated lounges, complimentary drinks and food experiences. Platinum VIP adds access to the area in front of the stage.

There are age restrictions on the VIP enclosures, so check the ticket terms if you’re planning to bring children. The organisers state that children can access VIP during the Sunday brunch session with a ticket, when additional entertainment and surprises are planned for younger guests.

The Verdict: Is Pub In The Park Worth A Date In The Diary?

1.webp

On paper, this is shaping up to be a very tempting weekend in Marlow.

The musical line-up has a healthy dose of nostalgia without relying on just one era, the new family brunch gives Sunday a fresh angle, and the promise of restaurants, chefs and food stalls means there should be plenty to enjoy between performances.

Our pick? Saturday looks like the one for a full day of music and food, while Sunday offers an intriguing double act: family-friendly fun in the morning, followed by orchestral Britpop in the evening.

And really, how often do you get to spend a weekend in one of Buckinghamshire’s loveliest riverside towns, eat something delicious and belt out indie classics with a crowd of strangers?

Pub in the Park returns to Higginson Park, Marlow, from 14–16 May 2027. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 30 October, starting at £30.

Now, the important question: are you there for Kaiser Chiefs, Olly Murs, the Britpop, or the food? We have a feeling the answer may involve all four.
