Summer is just around the corner, and one of Buckinghamshire’s biggest community celebrations is back! Princes Risborough Festival Week returns from Saturday 4th to Saturday 11th July 2026, promising a packed programme of more than 70 events for all ages.
Whether you’re a long-time local or fancy discovering one of Bucks’ most charming market towns, this week-long celebration is bursting with family fun, live entertainment and community spirit.
A Week Packed with Things to Do
Festival Week celebrates everything that makes Princes Risborough special, with events organised by local groups, businesses, charities and volunteers. From exhibitions and performances to community activities and family events, there’s plenty happening throughout the week.

The Street Festival Takes Over the High Street 🎪
On Saturday 11th July, Princes Risborough’s High Street transforms into a lively festival packed with entertainment, market stalls, music and activities throughout the day.
And yes… the beach is back!
The Beach Returns to Market Square 🏖️
One of the festival’s most popular attractions is making a welcome return as the much-loved pop-up beach arrives back in Market Square.
Bring the kids (and maybe a bucket and spade!) for a little seaside fun without leaving Buckinghamshire. There’ll even be plenty of deckchairs nearby, perfect for relaxing while soaking up the festival atmosphere.
Expect Plenty of Family Entertainment
There’s no shortage of things to keep little ones (and grown-ups) entertained, including:
- 🎨 Free face painting from 1pm–6pm
- 🫧 A giant bubble artist creating magical displays
- 🤹 Colourful roaming stilt walkers
- 🎩 Smartie Artie bringing comedy, puppets and magic between 2pm and 4:30pm
- 🐻 A special appearance from Bucks Bear from 4pm
Live Music All Afternoon 🎶
The main stage, set against the beautiful backdrop of the historic Market House, will host performances throughout the afternoon from local schools, performing arts groups and live acts including:
- The Cherry Valentines
- Kiera Gabrielle
- Obviously Aliens
Meanwhile, the ever-popular steel band will once again fill the High Street with feel-good summer vibes.
A Celebration of Community
Festival Week is organised by Princes Risborough Town Council with the support of dozens of local organisations, volunteers and businesses who help make the event possible each year.
It’s a brilliant opportunity to explore the town, support local traders and enjoy one of Buckinghamshire’s friendliest summer festivals.
