What could be nicer on a crisp cold winter’s day than a brisk walk in the countryside followed by a pot of tea and something comforting to eat?
Just a short distance from The Lady Grey you will find the woodland footpath that gently climbs to the top of nearby Coombe Hill, from which you will find unbroken views of the Vale of Aylesbury.
You can also access the world famous Ridgeway Ancient Trail, which meanders under a canopy of beech trees for many miles in each direction.
Alternatively a short walk to the Wendover arm of The Grand Union canal, offers a very different experience. Under the shade of the trees the canal is home to a wide range of wildfowl.
Getting back to nature is good for the soul, so take a break from the rush of every day life and enjoy the peace and relaxation of a Chiltern walk, there’s nothing quite like a cream tea to reward you at the end.
